Why We Love the Morris Habitat Restore—and Why You’ll Love it Too

Restore_logoWe donate items to several wonderful nonprofits when we pick up your junk, making sure to take items in good condition to places that can put them to good use. One of our very favorites is the Morris Habitat ReStore in Randolph.

You most likely know about Habitat for Humanity—the wonderful nonprofit that brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. While Morris County is one of New Jersey’s most affluent counties, there are thousands of families living in inadequate or substandard housing because they can’t afford the area’s high prices. Morris Habitat is dedicated to building decent, affordable housing with low-income families and invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

One of the great ways Morris Habitat raises money is through its ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement store that sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the general public—at a fraction of the retail price. The money raised is used to finance the houses that Habitat builds, renovates and repairs.

Guess where ReStore gets many of its donations? From people like you, of course. All that ReStore asks is that the merchandise be in excellent condition, 100% operable and thoroughly clean. We think that’s a fabulous win-win!

Although you can make arrangements with ReStore directly, Junk-A-Haulics prides itself on making the process much easier for you. Our professionals will come clear out your clutter and make your home or office look incredible again. Then we’ll take your good stuff right to the Morris Habitat Restore for you, and provide a receipt for tax purposes.

Check out Morris Habitat ReStore when you have some free time–you’ll see why we cherish our partnership with them!
